Relato de caso: Cirurgia oncológica da apresentação intraocular de tumor venéreo transmissível em cão

Resumo

O Tumor Venéreo Transmissível (TVT) é uma neoplasia contagiosa com presença global, transmitida principalmente por contato sexual. Esta doença é caracterizada por lesões primárias nos genitais, mas também pode afetar áreas extra-genitais. Este relato descreve o caso de um cão macho, mestiço, de dois anos e meio, que foi levado ao Centro Clínico Veterinário da Universidade dos Llanos devido a mudanças na cor e aumento do tamanho de seu olho direito. A proprietária mencionou que o cão havia sido previamente diagnosticado com TVT em outro centro, onde recebeu tratamento. A enucleação do olho afetado foi escolhida como intervenção cirúrgica, seguida pela confirmação histopatológica de TVT, levando ao início do tratamento quimioterapêutico com vincristina na dose de 0,025 mg/kg. Após a cirurgia e as sessões de quimioterapia, o paciente mostrou uma recuperação satisfatória.
